Touching the Future

Using space as a theme, our programs get students excited about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

From time to time, I do bring up the fact that we are indeed a living memorial to the fallen crew, and it does make you feel like you are contributing to a larger purpose. How many jobs have you had where that was the case?

Teacher Awards

Each year five teachers are nominated by Learning Centers to receive the Turner Wiley Challenger Teacher Award.

Competitions

  • Name The Hab

    Challenger Center, under the auspices of a recently signed Space Act agreement with NASA, is sponsoring a challenge to students to provide a name for the inflatable Antarctic habitat. The mission for students in the "Name the Hab" Challenge is to propose a name for this habitat.
  • 2009 What If Competition

    The What If is a series of annual student competitions are sponsored by Anousheh Ansari and designed to spark interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) subjects with the goal of encouraging students to use their imagination for innovative ideas.
