Throughout 2026, Challenger Center and its global network of Challenger Learning Centers will honor the legacy of the Challenger Seven while celebrating four decades of inspiring millions of students through immersive, hands-on STEM learning experiences.
The yearlong anniversary will feature national events, new educational resources, and national recognitions—advancing the organization’s commitment to “Launch the Next Era” of exploration and discovery.
Join Challenger Corps
Giving $40 per month or $400 in a year will automatically enroll you in the Challenger Corps—an exclusive membership group that receives behind-the-scenes emails showing how your donations make an impact in students’ lives.
New FREE Educator Resources
To bring the passions of the Challenger STS-51L crew to life, we’re thrilled to share a suite of free STEM lesson plans inspired by the interests and disciplines of each of the seven crew members.
Each lesson includes step-by-step instructions, a worksheet, and is accompanied by a crew member biography handout, giving students context about who these astronauts were and how their unique paths led them to space.
