Today, Challenger Center is excited to launch a new partnership with Hack Club, a global community of teen coders ages 13–18, united in the belief that the future of space exploration depends on the creativity, curiosity, and technical skills of the next generation. Together, we’re debuting a brand-new set of space-themed hacks—coding challenges designed to invite teens to explore space science through hands-on problem solving and code.

These challenges mark Hack Club’s first-ever space category, with two distinct tracks inspired by real missions: one focused on the Moon and one on Mars, aligned with NASA’s Artemis program. Built collaboratively by Hack Club and Challenger Center, the hacks encourage students to think like engineers, developers, and mission planners by connecting code to real-world space exploration and the skills that power it.

To celebrate participation and ingenuity, students who complete the hacks can earn exclusive space-themed stickers and the chance to win the grand prize: meeting an astronaut. The grand-prize winner will also receive a Satellite Challenge experience, bringing the excitement of a simulated space mission directly to their classroom.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to STEM education and workforce development, combining Hack Club’s vibrant teen coding community with Challenger Center’s decades of experience in immersive, mission-based learning. We’re thrilled to launch this collaboration today and look forward to exploring new ways to inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers, and explorers.
