Launch a New Center

Reaching the Stars, Investing in Your Community

Challenger Center is a national network of more than 30 Challenger Learning Centers, each powered by a shared mission and local heart. As our partner, you’ll host our interactive space missions that bring STEM learning to life for students in your area and beyond. You gain access to innovative programming, ongoing support, and a thriving network. More than that, you’ll create lasting impact by sparking student potential, inspiring future STEM leaders, and leaving a legacy of opportunity in your community.

How It Works

Joining the Challenger Learning Center network is a selective, multi-phase process. Here’s what to expect:

  1. Discovery: Assess feasibility with guidance from our experts to gather data, identify partners, and begin building local support.
  2. Letter of Intent: Submit a formal statement describing your commitment and why you’re the right fit.
  3. Application: Share your full plan, from budget and staffing to community engagement.
  4. Contract: If accepted, you’ll sign a License Agreement and begin design and planning.
  5. Notice to Proceed: Once funding is secured, we kick off simulator fabrication and facility preparation.
  6. Installation: We work closely with your team to install your simulator according to agreed specifications.
  7. Onboarding and Training: Your team is welcomed into the network with training, strategy sessions, and visits to other Centers.
  8. Grand Opening: Together, we plan a celebration to launch your Center and introduce it to your community.

New Center Success

Challenger Learning Centers thrive in communities nationwide, from major metros to rural regions. While geographic fit is a key factor in Center selection, the most essential ingredient is that sites reflect their communities' passion, pride, and vision. Launching a Center is more than a project—it’s a reflection of your community and a declaration of dedication to your students and their future.
