McKinley Technology High School Students Take on Earth to Mars

On May 8, 2018, we hosted McKinley Technology High School students at the Humans to Mars Summit in Washington DC. The sophomore students listened to industry experts talk about the current Mars mission during the morning sessions of the Summit. After the sessions, the students experienced our Earth to Mars program where they successfully launched not one, but two, Space Launch System rockets during our simulated experience. They also had to work together to design Mars habitats using 3D printing pens and tablets. Special thanks to Orbital ATK and Explore Mars for making this experience possible.

In addition attending the summit and participating in our Earth to Mars program, one McKinley Tech High School student also had the chance to interview NASA Chief Scientist Dr. James Green. You can watch the interview here.
