Challenger Center Announces New Vice President of Education Kevin Harrell
Washington, D.C. (May 30, 2023) – Challenger Center has announced that Kevin R. Harrell has joined the organization as vice president of education.
Harrell brings more than 15 years of experience in education and instructional design, most recently working for Imagine Learning as an instructional design specialist. His background includes working in school administration for several K-12 school districts. In his new role, Harrell will oversee Challenger Center’s education strategy and program development.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Kevin to Challenger Center. His extensive experience in education technology and instructional design coupled with his vast knowledge of K-12 education will bring immense value to our organization,” says Challenger Center President and CEO Lance Bush. “His perspective and knowledge will help guide us as we continue to expand our STEM programming to reach millions of students across the globe.”
Harrell shares, “As a former educator, I’ve seen first-hand how important it is to make students aware of all the possibilities their futures hold, particularly reaching those from underserved communities. Challenger Center is committed to educating and inspiring the next generation of STEM explorers, opening their eyes to the possibilities of future STEM careers. I’m proud to be a part of these efforts.”
Harrell holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Cleveland State University. He is affiliated with the Kappa Delta Pi International Society in Education, the Educational Policy Fellowship Program, and the National Science Teaching Association.
